We invite you to enjoy our family home in the heart of Sonoma Valley. We live in Marin, but enjoy our weekend escapes to what we affectionately call “the farm”. Rustic, but well appointed with everything you need for a getaway weekend, family vacation, couples escape, business retreat, milestone celebrations, etc.
Our home is situated on 6+ private acres with three vineyards, a formal English rose garden, built-in outdoor kitchen and dining area, bocce court, horse shoes, children's play structure, seasonal creek, hot tub, and more. Come escape to the country with all the conveniences of home!
The property has three structures, including a main house, guest cottage and barn (all with high-speed internet access):
Main House - offers 3 bedrooms (1 King, 1 Queen and a large bunk room with 1 Queen and 3 Twins), each with a private full bathroom. You will also enjoy a beautiful great room with 20-ft. floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking our heritage old oak trees, with a wood-burning fireplace and formal farm-house dining table for 12. A fully stocked gourmet kitchen with a gas range, two ovens and most importantly, two dishwashers! A family room/sun porch that looks out over the creek, with an old-fashioned wood-burning stove, additional dining table and easy access to the back deck and hot tub/spa.
Guest Cottage – offers two separate bedroom suites, each with their own entrance. Suites include a sitting area, a kitchenette (with microwave and coffee maker), as well as a queen bed and private full bath. These suites can be joined as one or used separately.
Barn and Pool – Our newest addition to the property includes a solar-heated salt-water swimming pool and barn rec room. The pool is surrounded by a Chardonnay vineyard along with a shaded area with hammocks and a dining table, as well as a few lounge chairs for sun worshippers! The barn sliding doors face the swimming pool, offering a rec room with billiards and foosball tables; a small kitchenette with full refrigerator, microwave, sink and dishwasher; a full bathroom with an outdoor shower; a shaded deck with several rocking chairs, small dining table and buffet/bar counter; and lastly a gas grill – great for easy poolside lunches all year long.
Additional amenities - If you enjoy cooking, our outdoor kitchen island offers two built-in grills (gas and charcoal!) and a two-burner cooktop. Our outdoor dining table can seat up to 12, plus additional bar stools, picnic table and Adirondack rocking chairs will become the center point of your stay.
If you like games, you will enjoy our bocce ball court, horseshoe pit and corn hole game boards.
Three vineyards, a rose garden and a hillside garden offer lots of space to escape and relax. Our front vineyard (as you enter the property) features zinfandel grapes; poolside you will see our Chardonnay vineyard and across the creek (behind the play structure) you will find our newest vineyard featuring our pinot noir varietal. The rose garden offers a swing and picnic table; the hillside garden enjoys a seating area in the morning sun and a nice view of the property.
Location - The property is located in the renowned Carneros wine region, best known for its award-winning Chardonnay and Pinot Noir varietals, covering an area that includes both Sonoma and Napa Valleys. Our home is surrounded by well-known (and better yet, not so well-known) Sonoma Valley wineries and only 10 minutes from the Napa Valley border. As for restaurants and shopping, our home is 10 minutes from the historic Sonoma Plaza offering a wide variety of choices!
